About Us

The California Ovarian Cancer Network (COCN) was born out of the passion and commitment of several individuals and organizations to connect with each other and be a resource for those affected by ovarian cancer.

In June of 2009, the California Ovarian Cancer Awareness Program hosted the California Ovarian Cancer Stakeholder Meeting in Santa Ana, California. This meeting brought together several stakeholders involved in the education and awareness of ovarian cancer in California.  The goal of the meeting was to connect organizations in California involved in the education and awareness of ovarian cancer and identify possible areas of collaboration.  There were 20 individuals present, representing 16 different organizations.  One of the main outcomes of the meeting was the formation of COCN.
